“Have you ever seen that movie with Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson called Bride Wars?” I ask J.
He looks at me with this look like please don’t make me watch this movie and says cautiously, “I know about it.”
“Well,” I continue, “In the movie, these two best friends get engaged and have their hearts set upon getting married in this ritzy hotel, and then something gets messed up and they have to get married on the same day, or change locations. And then all hell breaks loose as neither wants to give up their dream, hence the plot of the movie.”
“Right” J says.
“The moral of the story is, don’t get married the same day your best friend is getting married.”
He laughs. “Yeah, totally.”
I’m not laughing. “But, babe. That’s the problem. My best friend and I are getting married the same day.”
He pauses.
Then, he smiles.
“You’re too cute,” he tells me.
ha ha ha! you two should fight it out over who’s the biggest bride/groom-zilla
